Final Report (4MB .pdf)

In April 2003 Ipswich Borough Council appointed Shillam + Smith to carry out a consultation on the proposed development of the Ipswich Northern Fringe, which forms part of the draft Ipswich Local Plan. The development will provide a new community on the edge of Ipswich with potential for 1,500 new homes, a new district shopping centre and a school. Although there are several land ownership interests, Shillam + Smith consulted on an impartial basis and have not been involved in the design of the developer masterplans for the site.

The response of local people to Shillam + Smith's 'Help Shape the Future' consultation exercise was overwhelming. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the consultation. Click here to read the report on our findings.
